1) The gap between the new players and older:
This cannot be argued. Yes, new players can compete in some sense, but only in brute force (zerg like tatics). The gap is ever growing, I know this from starting a second account and trying to compete.
The gap is in character skillpoints only - NOT in player skill. You said not to give you the specialization speech, well sorry but if you don't realize the potential of specialization then there's no hope for you. Ignoring it doesn't validate your agrument.
I won't go into detail about specialization because its been mentioned 100's of times before. People still ignore and whine about playing "catchup". Go play UO where you can powergame your character in a month and be as uber as an 8-year vet.

2) Scripts:
They exist, i've seen the code and seen them in action. No, I haven't used them. They seem pretty basic, CCP, you need to do something about this, the escrow, mining, hauling scripts are out of control.
I send scripts to devs on a regular basis and never get a response...
I totally 100% agree.
I'm sorry to say that Eve is overrun by parasites that are making mega $$$ off this game.
Eve Online is by far the EASIEST game of its type to macro. I sometimes believe that mining was specifically designed the way it is to apease the hundreds (if not thousands) of macroer accounts that plague this game.
Quote: 3) Alliances:
IMO, they have too much of a part of EVE now. Once level 4's are nerfed (it's coming, don't kid yourself) alliances control most of the money making. Unless you are in 0.0, making isk is a joke.
Throw this around all you want. Low sec is just a joke. It is now coming to the point where a few 00 alliances control most space. you NEED to join these alliances now to make isk/name for yourself.
This argument has been around since the very early days of Eve. The devs will always favour the big alliances over any other entity in eve. Almost all new content is geared toward low-sec, 0.0, and alliance gameplay. This is the direction the devs want the game to go and always have.
Eve Online is the most un-forgiving MMORPG out there. What other game can you lose 2 years of work/isk in the blink of an eye? what other game can your character be set back months in training time if you forget to upgrade your clone and get killed?
Personally I wouldn't want Eve any other way, the day it goes down the UO track where death and loss is meaningless is the day I leave.
Eve isn't for everyone. You need patience, dedication, stamina, and a thick skin to last in this game. I'm glad the "twitch" gamers get weeded out early on. There's plenty of other games out there for them (actually EVERY other game out there is geared for them). Eve is unique, and may it always be so.
